Each year, usually between Christmas and Easter, we hold a seven week parenting course in partnership with the Millbrook schools, entitled ‘Practical Parenting.’ There are three streams within the course:

Stream 1: Pre-school (from birth)
Stream 2: Primary-age
Stream 3: Teenagers

The course is designed to help us all become more effective in our parenting; to help make good parents even better. The course includes plenty of time for reflection and a chance to step back and look at how we are parenting our children. The course is not designed to provide a ‘Parenting Blue Print’ or indeed all the answers to all the issues, but instead suggests certain principles that should underpin our parenting and then helps people to apply them to their particular situation and set of circumstances.

Bringing up children today is a difficult job and we all need a chance to stand back from everything and, with the support of others, look at ways of improving the way that we parent.

Parenting Course 2010

We are running the Parenting Course again at Millbrook Infant School in January 2010.  The course is run over 7 weeks in three streams: pre-school, primary and teenagers.  We are looking for people with a heart for families and for parenting who might like to be involved in the team, either as leaders, helpers or on the pastoral side. Practical Parenting Course

7 week course on Tuesday evenings at Millbrook Infant School, starting 19th January.

For all parents with children under the age of 18.

We train for everything else in life except parenting, the most important job we will ever have, so don't miss this opportunity to spend time looking at ways of being an even better parent.
