Steve came to Kettering after serving at a church in SWLondon since 1996. Born in Australia, he lived for a while near Blackpool, and then settled in Surrey. Having trained as a musician, he spent some years teaching in the South-East, and then trained for ordained ministry at Trinity College, Bristol. Married to Alex, they have 3 children, Cameron, Lawrence & Owen. Steve enjoys the music of Genesis, the books of Nick Hornby and the football of Leeds United.
Melvyn is married to June and they have two daughters, Grace and Karlia. Melvyn has previously worked in Christian ministry for some twenty years at Holy Trinity, Leicester, St. James, Gerrards Cross and Tyneside Youth for Christ. Prior to that, he was a store manager for Tesco and other retailers. He is a long-time supporter of Crystal Palace.
A degree in youth ministry at a Nyack college in New York, USA began Steve's journey to Christ the King. Then came a four year stopover in Deal, Kent where he worked for eight Churches pioneering a new, cross town, youthwork linking both Churches and schools. During this time Steve managed to marry the boss's daughter (Kate) and they now have two daughters, Bethany and Kezia, and a son, Benjamin. He enjoys all sports,(although you couldn't tell from the waistline), and even tries to participate occasionally.
Peter is married to Paula-Marie and they have three children, Bethany, Joshua and Naomi. They have moved from Leicestershire, where Peter worked for the LEA and before that he taught in primary schools in London.
Mandy is married to Julian and has been Parish Administrator since January 2004. Before this, she worked for about eight years in the voluntary sector, mainly for Age Concern, as an advice officer. In a previous life she trained as a solicitor but has long since left this behind her!
